The Central Evaluation Unit (CEU) is responsible for reviewing and posting transfer credit for Berkeley undergraduates. Be sure to visit the CEU website for comprehensive information on enrolling in and transferring credit, as well as reviewing your Exam Results, Transfer Credit, and Academic Progress Reports. Information on how and when to contact the CEU is also included on the website.
If you are a graduate student, you can learn more about transferring credit through the Graduate Division. If you are a prospective undergraduate applicant with questions regarding enrollment in courses in preparation for applying to Berkeley as a transfer student, please visit the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Requirements for Transfer Credit
Check with your college or department to ensure you may use transfer coursework to complete a degree requirement. Once you have confirmed use of transfer credit, review the criteria for eligibility from another college or university.
Submitting Your Transcript
Follow these guidelines for submitting your transcript.
After the transcript is received and scanned, it will take the Central Evaluation Unit 2 to 4 weeks for the evaluation of transfer credit for continuing students (1 to 2 business days for graduating students) to be completed and posted to the Berkeley transcript. Review this page for more information on the review and posting of transfer credit for newly admitted, continuing, and graduating students.
For more information review the CEU website.
